DON’T LET SATAN GET YOU DOWN!

Satan loves it when we fuss and fume
And get ourselves upset
About things that don’t really matter
That we really should forget.
It gives him a chance to work on us,
Get one foot in the door,
And unless we wise up and kick him out,
We’ll wind up on the floor.
We take our eyes off Jesus
And forget to trust in Him,
And then, before we know it,
We’re way out on a limb.
So keep your eyes on Jesus;
Trust Him to take you through!
Don’t let satan work you up
Or get a hold on you,
For he has been defeated!
His war with God was lost
When Jesus died to conquer sin,
And shed His blood on the cross.
When Jesus rose up from the grave
The sting of death was gone,
That those for whom the price was paid
Forever should live on -
So if you’ve trusted Jesus
As your Saviour and your Lord,
Don’t let old satan get you down!
Stand firmly on God’s Word!
