Somewhere

Somewhere there is war today;
Somewhere people cry and pray;
Somewhere,  not too far away -
It could be here.

Somewhere Christians are dismayed;
Somewhere children are afraid;
Somewhere,  not too far away;
It could be here.

Somewhere people faint from fear;
Somewhere death is very near;
Somewhere,  not too far from here -
It could be here.

Somewhere people have no food;
Somewhere things aren’t very good;
Somewhere,  be it understood -
It could be here.

Somewhere worship is not allowed;
Somewhere God’s people can’t speak out loud;
Somewhere, yes, somewhere right now -
It could be here.
