SATAN TRIES HARD

Satan tries hard to silence the one
Who confesses his faith in Jesus, God's Son.
He sows doubt and confusion wherever he can;
He plants stumbling blocks; It's part of his plan
To destroy Christian witness, to nullify the effect
Of a life lived for Jesus, to bring disrespect
On God's plan of salvation; to make it seem hollow
To believe in God's word and His Way to follow.
But living for Jesus is what life's about
And those who are saved ought to stand up and shout
That there's only one way to achieve heaven's goal,
That only through Jesus is the sinner made whole.
Though Satan, like a lion, prowls about by the hour,
Seeking and searching for some soul to devour,
He knows he's defeated and that his time is short;
He's been sentenced to "hellfire" by the Judge of God's Court.
He still has more power than have you or have I,
So we're warned to flee from him, not to fall for his lies;
Ye, Satan tries always to silence the one
Who confesses his faith in Jesus, God's Son.
He'll do all that he can to make him turn back;
He'll paint everything gray, not white nor not black;
No absolutes wanted - there's no wrong and no right,
Yet his realm is the darkness.  God's is the LIGHT!
